Assessing the Quality of Academic Libraries on the Web: The Development and Testing of Criteria.

摘要: This study develops and tests an instrument useful for evaluating the quality of academic libraries on World Wide Web (Libweb). By consulting authoritative criteria used traditional print resources Internet/Web resources, a set 68 essential indicators was generated later reorganized reduced to 16 through factor analysis. After survey library experts, instrument's reliability verified by analysis variance. Furthermore, regression model considering both respondents' demographics applied identify 11 significant factors, which were eight factors. These factors represent most salient nonredundant criteria. Two forms are suggested prospective users evaluate Libweb construct maintain good site.
