摘要: A series of compounds related to phenylalanine was administered rats. Output mandelic acid, a major but unexplained metabolite in phenylketonuria, increased after the administration phenylethanolamine or phenylpyruvic whereas phenylethylamine its excretion only marginally. Phenylacetic previously suggested as possible precursor man, almost without effect. It seems likely that acid can be formed from directly, intermediate transamination phenylalanine.
