摘要: The aim of the present study was to determine effect cigarette smoke on expression Notch proteins in lung adenocarcinoma (LAC). Protein levels Notch1 and Notch3 were analyzed using immunohistochemistry 102 human LAC specimens. Of these, 52 obtained from smokers 50 non-smokers. In addition, extract (CSE) at varying concentrations (1, 2.5 5%) administered A549 cells. protein then detected by western blot analysis different time points (0, 8, 24 48 h). specimens, 42 (41.2%) positive for 63 (61.8%) Notch3. There no significant difference level between non-smokers with (P>0.05). rate staining intensity increased compared (P<0.05). cells a time- dose-dependent manner following treatment CSE, whilst appeared stable. results suggested that able induce Notch3, not Notch1, LAC. data revealed an upregulation exposure. Such findings may provide novel therapeutic target
