摘要: Studies of hairy cell leukemia have yielded conflicting data about the origin in this disease. To investigate issue, we examined state immunoglobulin genes cells 11 randomly selected spleens showing histologic involvement with leukemia. DNA was extracted from splenic tissue samples and digested restriction endonucleases. Following agarose gel electrophoresis transfer to nitrocellulose filters or activated nylon membranes, hybridized radiolabeled fragment probes specific for constant regions heavy chain kappa lambda light genes. Autoradiograms each case revealed rearrangements a gene at least one gene. In addition, immunophenotyping cellular polypeptides carried out on frozen sections all but case. which an polypeptide could be detected, rearrangement present corresponding These studies offer strong evidence endogenous synthesis B lymphocytic character
