摘要: A system and method for generating a linear frequency sweep while also improving the phase noise characteristics of microwave or millimeter wave signal source. The invention uses two lock loops. first loop source to linearize relatively low VCO (typically around 100 MHz). has bandwidth that is only wide enough pass radar modulation waveform with minimal distortion. includes detector, narrow band filter, HF divide by M counter. second used lower in loop. this are effectively impressed upon wave, high VCO. output from becomes reference input loop, which (MMW) local oscillator, mixer, amplifier/filter R MMW FM-CW transmitted signal.
