Bupivacaine versus normal saline for relief of post-adenotonsillectomy pain in children: A meta-analysis

摘要: Abstract Objective A meta-analysis was performed to explore the role of peri-operative bupivacaine infiltration in relief pain adenotonsillectomy. Methods Data from Medline, EMBase, Springer and Cochrane Collaboration database were searched. Reference lists identified publications scanned. RevMan 5.0 software used for statistical analysis. Results 7 random controlled tests (a total 286 cases) included. Pain intensity evaluated by VAS score or Cheops score. The group (Group B) less severe than placebo P). Analgesic requirement Group B P. Nevertheless difference complication between had no difference. Conclusion Bupivacaine is a safe effective method pediatric post-adenotonsillectomy pain.
