摘要: The importance of conserving wild populations large carnivores in balance with local human interests has been recognised throughout the world. However, diverse activities are potential conflict conservation carnivore species. We discuss role that hunters have management three species, brown bear Ursus arctos, Eurasian lynx Lynx and wolf Canis lupus Carpathian Mountains central Europe. considered four different countries (i.e. Poland, Slovakia, Ukraine Romania), comparing status regulations hunting activities. situation appears to be generally consistent region, although degree protection accorded varies most. Interactions between well rooted culture communities considered. forested areas make Carpathians an excellent environment for carnivores, which here favoured by low population density. underline need integration scientific knowledge future practices.
