摘要: Abstract The effect of the short non-ionic amphiphiles: n -alcohol (  = 3–6), polypropylene glycol alkyl ether (C PO m , for  = 3, 4;  = 1–3) and polyethylene EO  = 3;  = 1  = 4; on critical micellar concentration (CMC) sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) in aqueous solutions at 25 °C has been determined experimentally by measuring electrical conductance. results show that there is a linear relation between number propylene ethylene groups slope CMC decrease with amphiphile concentration. group appears to be more efficient lowering than which less hydrophobic. Considering ethers as condensation an certain it was possible classify these amphiphiles according their efficiency SDS: C 4 3  > C 6 0 2 1 5 . This trend different from series hydrophobicity compounds, inferred recently water/C binary phase diagrams: compounds increases much addition one carbon chain group. co-surfactant behavior some molecules also discussed compared terms topology ternary diagrams SDS/water/co-surfactant. Some striking differences studied are found property corresponding systems.
