The Effects of Organization Design and Patient Perceptions of Care on Switching Behavior and Reliance on a Health Care System Across Time

摘要: Sustaining ongoing relationships with patients is a strategic, clinically relevant goal of health care systems. This study develops and tests conceptual model that aims to account for the influence organization design, perceptions quality patient care, other patient-level factors on extent which sustain reliance system. We use longitudinal survey design structural equation modeling predict increases or decreases in Department Veterans Affairs system across 4-year period Parkinson’s Disease. Our findings show specialized integrated clinical practices have positive association care. Health systems may be able foster long-term relations improve service by allocating resources form integrated, specialized, disease-specific centers designed chronic illnesses.
