Methods:  An ecological study was performed two distinct phases. In Phase 1, MDG related covariates were obtained from demographic census Brazilian Institute Geography Statistics, Ministry Health database 2000 Human Development Atlas, making up whole set independent variables. Principal component analysis carried out for variables showing correlations among comprising main components, generating a synthetic index allowing performance to be known with regard (MDG index). 2, DMFT (mean number decay, missing or filled permanent teeth) CF (prevalence caries-free individuals), 12 years old epidemiological survey undertaken 2002–2003, 49 Brazil, analysed relation using Spearman’s correlation. Results:  A statistically significant correlation found indices, respectively, with: (R2 = 0.49 0.48; P = 0.00); socioeconomic status population (R2 = 0.12 0.12; P = 0.02); socioenvironmental characteristics (R2 = 0.41 0.46; P = 0.00). Conclusions:  The respective components relating their demonstrated positive OH indicators. As such, intersectoral public policies based on strategies that act general need integrated so as impact outcomes.
