摘要: OBJECTIVE: To verify the usefulness of minimum data set (MDS) for acute-care hospitals and emergency resources study road traffic injuries to describe use health in Catalonia (Spain). METHODS: The population consisted patients treated any kind service admitted acute hospitalization 2013. A descriptive analysis was performed by age, gender, time clinical variables. RESULTS: total 48,150 were hospital departments, 6,210 attended primary care, 4,912 hospital. There a higher proportion men (56.2%), mainly aged between 20 40 years. Men accounted 54.9% with minor 75.1% those severe injuries. Contusions are most common injury (30.2%), followed sprains (28.7%). Fractures mostly affected persons older than 64 years, internal particularly wounds younger 18 years In adult population, severity increased leading longer length stay greater complexity. Hospital mortality 0.2%. Fractures, more frequent group very serious injuries, contusions CONCLUSIONS: MDS records (acute resources) provide information that is complementary other sources on accidents, increasing completeness data.
