摘要: During central nervous system development, oligodendrocyte progenitors (OLPs) establish multiple branched processes and axonal contacts to initiate myelination. A complete understanding of the molecular signals implicated in cell surface interaction myelination/remyelination is currently lacking. The objective our study was assess whether Cdon, a protein that shown participate muscle neuron involved (OLG) differentiation Here, we demonstrate endogenous Cdon expressed OLPs, increasing early stages decreasing mature OLGs. Immunocytochemistry showed localization on both OLG membranes cellular exhibiting puncta- or varicosity-like structures. knockdown with siRNA decreased levels by 62% as well two myelin-specific proteins, MBP MAG. Conversely, overexpression full-length rat increased myelin proteins complexity OLGs branching contact point numbers axons were also overexpressing cells growing alone coculture dorsal root ganglion neurons (DRGNs). Furthermore, myelination DRGNs when OLPs transfected siRNA. Altogether, results suggest participates myelination, most likely initial development.
