摘要: One of the more controversial issues over last several years has been use testosterone (T) therapy (TTh) in men with prostate cancer (PCa). Many 50 or older suffer from symptoms deficiency, including symptoms erectile dysfunction, diminished libido, fatigue, depression, and sense decreased vitality. TTh effectively treats these many men, may provide additional benefits such as increased strength, muscle mass, bone mineral density (Table 47.1). Yet there a long-standing widely held concern that higher serum T causes rapid PCa growth. For this reason, any history considered an absolute contraindication to TTh, even apparent cure.
