摘要: Groundwater is the main source of water in many countries all over world. Prevention pollution this essential for a sustainable utilization. Nitrate groundwater common problem due to association between intensive agriculture achieve food security and fertilization. For an efficient management from nitrate, first step would be quantify different sources nitrogen aquifer concern. This paper aims at demonstrating general approach based on Geographic Information Systems (GIS) characterize spatial distribution amounts area Eocene (Palestine). The heavily utilized agricultural domestic supply. Fertilization study widespread practice. As result, undergoing nitrate problem. methodology relies mainly specifying using GIS account spatiality. Thereafter, attribute tables Excel spreadsheets were magnitudes sources. Maps corresponding on-ground ammonium, organic total developed area. results indicate that annual loading about 3260 tons which 38% attributed fertilizers (chemical manure) where dominant form NH4 (58.3%). average 7028 kg-N/km2·year. estimated leaching 1968 kg-N/km2. areas high have long-term impacts degradation quality aquifer. It therefore build up outcomes work develop fate transport model will enable stakeholders arrive alternatives manage contamination
