摘要: This paper aims to assess groundwater potability and palatability in the West Bank, Palestine. It combines adjusted weighted arithmetic water quality index method (AWAWQIM), a close-ended questionnaire, step-wise assessment ratio analysis (SWARA) develop (PoGWQI) (PaGWQI) indices. Both geographic information system (GIS) kriging interpolation (KIM) are employed create spatiotemporal mapping of PoGWQI PaGWQI. The research is based on data from 79 wells, which were provided by Palestinian Water Authority (PWA). Data include fecal coliform (FC), nitrate (NO3), pH, chloride (Cl), sulfate (SO4), bicarbonate (HCO3), total dissolved solids (TDS), turbidity, hardness. Results indicate that 2% 5% samples unpotable unpalatable, respectively. Unpotable found areas with poor sewer networks intensive use agrochemicals. All (100%) eastern part Bank unpalatable because seawater intrusion. Unconfined aquifers more vulnerable contamination. was noticed sensitive FC NO3, while PaGWQI HCO3, TDS, Cl. Consequently, these parameters should be monitored well. proposed great interest decision-makers Palestine for establishing strategies protect resources.
