摘要: A selective, precise, and accurate high-performance thin-layer chromatographic (HPTLC) method has been proposed for the analysis of conessine in Holarrhena antidysenterica. The involves visible densitometric evaluation resolving it by HPTLC on aluminium-based silica gel plates. For evaluation, peak areas were recorded at 520 nm after resolved bands derivatized with Dragendorff's reagent then sprayed a 10% solution aqueous sodium nitrite which resulted reddish brown color. correlation between concentration area was found to be linear within range 10 60 ng/spot. validated precision (interday intraday), repeatability, accuracy.
