Architecture of the WHOIS++ service

摘要: This document describes WHOIS++, an extension to the trivial WHOIS service described in RFC 954 permit WHOIS-like servers make available more structured information Internet. We describe simple data model and query protocol a companion extensible, distributed indexing service. A number of options have also been added such as use multiple languages character sets, advanced search expressions, other useful features. An optional authentication mechanism for protecting all or part associated WHOIS++ database from unauthorized access is described.
