Structure and magnetic properties of Tm2Fe17-xGax compounds

摘要: Crystal-structure studies on Tm2Fe17-xGax (x = O, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8) compounds have shown that the prepared samples are single phase with 2:17-type structure. Both unit-cell volume saturation magnetization at 1.5 K decrease linearly increasing Ga content. The Curie temperature is found to increase x; it goes through a maximum value of 485 about x 3 lower values then rises again. exhibit spin-reorientaiton transition low temperature. X-ray diffraction measurements magnetically aligned powders show less than or equal 6 easy-plane type magnetic anisotropy, whereas 7 easy c-axis anisotropy room (C) 1997 American Institute Physics.
