The change in magnetic anisotropy in R2Fe17-xAlx compounds (R=Sm or Tb)

摘要: The structure and magnetic properties of R2Fe17-xAlx compounds with R=Sm R=Tb were studied. have a rhombohedral ThsZn17-type structure. Curie temperature TC is found first to increase then decrease increasing x. substitution Al has significant effect on the anisotropy compounds. A small amount in Sm2Fe17 induces uniaxial further results change easy-magnetization direction from c axis basal plane, whereas an opposite magnetocrystalline been observed alloys Tb2Fe17-xAlx. samples Tb2Fe17-xAlx x>or=6 exhibit easy anisotropy.
