摘要: Purpose To compare the effectiveness and reproducibility of a new black-blood sequence vs. conventional bright-blood gradient-echo T2* for myocardial iron overload measurement in thalassemia. Materials Methods Twenty thalassemia patients were studied. Black-blood images acquired diastole after double inversion recovery (DIR) preparation pulse. Bright-blood both early systole late diastole. The data randomized analysis was performed blindly by two independent observers. Results The values from comparable to those (25.7 ± 12.9 msec 26.4 14.2 systole, P = 0.44; 25.2 13.1 diastole, 0.41). coefficient variation (CV) image 4.1% compared with 8.9% (early 0.03) 7.8% (late 0.05) analysis. Conclusion The technique yields high-contrast images, provides clearly depicted borders, avoids blood signal contamination myocardium while yielding improvements interobserver variability. J. Magn.
