摘要: Abstract The stability of TiO 2 particles in water was increased through plasma polymerization acrylic acid (AA) onto the surface. carried out directly upon powder by using two radiofrequency (RF) reactors: one inductively coupled and another capacitively coupled. In both cases, a cross-linked polyacrylic (PAA) film formed on surface, which characterized Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy (EDS), Fourier-transformed infrared spectroscopy, (FTIR), Raman Spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). PAA-coated determined their precipitation water. It found that moderate treatment effectively improved particles. At low levels AA polymerization, surface not modified enough to improve water; other hand, high degree led formation large agglomerates, induced PAA film, these were stable. As expected, particle size Z-potential Under optimum operating conditions this study, treated showed as good with dispersant.
