摘要: PROLOGUE: Several years ago, when we began to question microinstability as the universal cause of disabled throwing shoulder, knew that were questioning a sacrosanct tenet American sports medicine. However, comfortable in our skepticism because relying on arthroscopic insights, clinical observations, and biomechanical data, thereby challenging unverified opinion with science. In so doing, assembled unified concept shoulder encompassed biomechanics, pathoanatomy, kinetic chain considerations, surgical treatment, rehabilitation. developing this concept, rejected much conventional wisdom microinstability-based treatment favor more successful techniques (as judged by comparative outcomes) based sound concepts had been scientifically verified. Although have reported various components previously, urged many colleagues publish information together single reference for easy access orthopaedic surgeons who treat overhead athletes. We are grateful editors Arthroscopy allowing us present view shoulder. Part I: Pathoanatomy Biomechanics is presented issue. II: Evaluation Treatment SLAP Lesions Throwers will be May-June III: The "SICK" Scapula, Scapular Dyskinesis, Kinetic Chain, Rehabilitation July-August hope you find it thought-provoking compelling.
