摘要: Abstract This paper reports the development of textile fibers from cellulose sugar cane straw and commercial cellulose. Sugar pulps were obtained after alkaline pulping, using soda/anthraquinone (AQ). For removal residual lignin, submitted to chemical bleaching with hydrogen peroxide. Bleached used obtain N-methylmorpholine-N-oxide (NMMO). Straw characterized for their composition (cellulose, polyoses lignin). Fibers analyzed evaluate maximum water uptake or swelling, weight loss mechanical properties. Microstructure was by a scanning electron microscope (SEM). Pulping yield 30%, showed capacity around 60–73%. The mass profile about 25–26% in 30 days. presented tenacity values range 4.1–4.3 cN/tex, which are compatible lyocell produced wood pulp
