摘要: We have used intracerebral dialysis to monitor the striatal extracellular fluid (ECF) in rats with unilateral lesions of nigrostriatal dopamine (DA) pathway. Dialysis samples were collected before and after L-dihydroxyphenylalanine (L-DOPA) administration both presence absence carbidopa, an extracerebral DOPA decarboxylase (DDC) inhibitor. The baseline ECF levels DA, 3,4-dihydroxyphenylacetic acid (DOPAC), homovanillic (HVA) always higher intact than lesioned striata. In normal striata, concentrations increased following L-DOPA administration. Pretreatment carbidopa prolonged duration DA increase. only animals pretreated carbidopa. Following administration, HVA DOPAC considerably more not they did animals. This increase was particularly marked striata leads us conclude that extracerebrally produced can enter brain space.
