摘要: UNLABELLED Pancreatic pseudocysts are a common finding in acute and chronic pancreatitis, but most small uncomplicated, do not require treatment. Pseudocysts with splenic parenchymal involvement uncommon have the potential for massive hemorrhage. Data on clinical presentation optimal treatment of this unusual complication lacking. The purpose review was to identify features pancreatic complicated by determine outcome nonoperative operative therapy. METHODS A retrospective medical records all patients from December 1984 January 1999 revealed 238 patients, whom 14 (6%) had involvement. These were reviewed detail pertinent radiographs authors confirm pseudocyst. RESULTS Initial included observation (n = 2), percutaneous drainage 8), surgery 4). Of eight treated drainage, one died, three required repeated surgical intervention. None primarily additional therapy Overall, 11 complications primary therapy, 25% significant Complications infection 5), pseudocyst persistence 4), bleeding multisystem organ failure gastric outlet obstruction 1), rupture 2). CONCLUSIONS may life-threatening presentations respond poorly drainage. Distal pancreatectomy splenectomy effective, rate is high.
