摘要: Abstract The leukocyte common antigen is a family of glycoproteins uniquely expressed by cells hemopoietic origin. generated alternative splicing 3 exons, and individual members are in cell type-specific fashion. glycoprotein consists heavily glycosylated exterior domain approximately 100 kDa, single membrane spanning region, cytoplasmic that has homology to protein tyrosine phosphatase 83 kDa. To further understand the regulation structure this molecules, genomic clones were isolated from mouse lambda cosmid libraries. organization was determined 20 clones. Eighteen clustered within 75-kilobase whereas promoter exons for 5'-untranslated leader located an unknown distance 5' unlinked clone. gene composed 34 exons: two 1a 1b, 32 encode sequence. Exon 2 contains part region encodes 23 amino acids Exons 3-15 acid residues 1-538 external domain, exon 16 539-574, encompassing membrane-spanning 17-33 575-1268 domain. 33, largest exon, 1.1-kilobase 3'-untranslated region. A comparison between human (Hall, L.R., Streuli, M., Schlossman, S.F., Saito, H. (1988) J. Immunol. 141, 2781-2787) regions reveals significant homologies transcription start site. relationship discussed.
