摘要: The purpose of this contribution is to illustrate how clonal cell culture assays may be used analyze progressive changes in the single population developing human skeletal muscle. method should applicable all tissues; and, when applied diseased states, provide instructive insights as alterations relative proportions specific clonable types within affected tissues. A limitation approach is, however, that it monitors only a small fraction total population. Thus developmental or disease-related populations lacking capacity for extensive proliferation cultured under low density conditions will not detected by assay. possibility using high techniques study other aspects myogenic lineage have been discussed Holtzer (1970), and Bischoff et al. (1972).
