摘要: Prior work using the classificatory frameworks of Mingers, Mingers and Brocklesby has proven useful in understanding complementary nature characteristics traditional Operational Research/Management Science (OR/MS), Theory Constraints (TOC) systems methodologies, by examining philosophical assumptions that underpin them. This paper uses a case illustration to demonstrate how specific methods methodologies known as TOC can be used complement use approaches involving associated tools Systems Dynamics (SD) such Causal Loop Diagramming (CLD) develop better operational strategic decision-making. In doing so, surfaces systemic qualities tools, identifies communality complementarity SD problem solving.
