Studies of X chromosome DNA methylation in normal human cells

摘要: Studies of methylation along 28 kilobases X-chromosome DNA, assayed by Southern blot analysis using cloned X-chromosome-specific probes, indicates that XDNA in normal human cells changes with replication, is not correlated number X chromosomes or transcriptional activity, and less stable more prevalent than when the foreign environment mouse–human hybrid cells. In contrast observations others heteroploid cells, we observed no derepression inactive clonal populations fibroblasts treated 5-azacytidine. This may reflect differences stability a environment.
