摘要: The results of an intercalibration exercise among the laboratories participating in MED POL program for monitoring biological effects pollutants along Mediterranean coasts are presented. Three established biomarkers, i.e. lysosomal membrane stability, metallothionein concentration and ethoxyresorufin-O-deethylase (EROD) activity, were intercalibrated. stability membranes mussels (Mytilus galloprovincialis Lam.) was assessed with a cytochemical method. four able to discriminate between control animals (membrane labilization times ranging from 21 35 min) Cu-exposed (40 μg/l Cu 3 days) (labilization 4.5 7.4 min). evaluated digestive gland homogenates exposed 200 Cd 7 days. eight controls treated samples using spectrophotometric EROD activity by 11 laboratories. All liver microsomal preparations obtained benzo-a-pyrene fish (Dicentrarchus labrax), values 0.5 15.88 pmol/min/mg protein 5.41 165.13 animals. Using S9 fractions, it possible correctly identify fish, variation similar that found albeit inevitable difference specific activity. As corollary, all involved produced comparable data pollutant-induced stress syndromes sentinel organisms. Thus, enables use biomarkers large biomonitoring programs.
