摘要: Vertebral osteoporosis, a common disorder in elderly women, is characterized by wide spectrum of bone turnover abnormalities on iliac crest biopsy. The level formation can be assessed noninvasively measuring serum osteocalcin, whereas conventional biochemical markers resorption lack specificity and do not reflect from histology. We measured the urinary excretion pyridinoline crosslinks Pyr D-Pyr, specific marker cartilage collagen degradation, along with osteocalcin hydroxyproline, 36 women vertebral osteoporosis who had simultaneous Urinary crosslinks, but correlated significantly histologic resorption, osteoclast surface (r = 0.35, p less than 0.05 for Pyr; r 0.46, 0.01 D-Pyr). In addition, D-Pyr were rate as well correlation coefficients ranging 0.69 to 0.80, 0.0001. These data indicate that are sensitive osteoporosis. poor between histological assessment indicates low sensitivity histomorphometry measurement skeleton.
