R. Y. M. Cabos, A. H. Hara, and C. Tsang. 2012. Hot water drench treatment for control of reniform nematodes in potted dracaena. Nematropica 42:72-79. A continuous hot was evaluated disinfesting dracaena nematodes, Rotylenchulus reniformis. Modifications were made to a shower container allow the delivery stream directly media roots infested plants. Reniform successfully eliminated marketable age treated at 50°C 10 minutes or longer. No evidence thermal damage observed on plants drenched with even 52°C 14 minutes. Continuous drenching 15 is recommended ensure effective penetration through media.
