摘要: A seasonal study of two spring-fed stream systems in south-central Texas was undertaken over a 15-month period from June 1996 to September 1997. Relative abundance the epilithic diatom flora, percent cover macroalgae, and several physical chemical conditions were monitored one 20-m stretch each streams at approximately two-month intervals. Six additional segments sampled May for macroalgae measured same conditions, order determine how representative macroalgal floras sites western Texas. Conditions relatively constant 15 months, except maximum depth; this finding is similar those reported other worldwide. Sixty-eight taxa nine identified San Marcos River, which compares 46 six Comal River. Several species significantly correlated (e.g. Dichotomosiphon tuberosus Hildenbrandia angolensis with daylength, Amphora pediculus depth). Twenty-one steam segments. these very River that they had higher average pH x= 8.1 versus 7.6). The flora contains many some commonly springs globally.
