摘要: Intraventricular injections of the neuropeptide galanin were shown to induce a significant increase endogenous 5-hydroxyindoleacetic acid (5-HIAA) levels in occipital cortex, hippocampus and median eminence rats. A general, but most regions non-significant, tendency for increased 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT) was also observed. In view similar effects on 3,4-dihydroxyphenylacetic (DOPAC) pons-medulla previous vitro studies, these results are compatible with presynaptic inhibitory effect certain central 5-HT neurons rat.
