摘要: The end-of-life design advisor (ELDA) guides product developers to specify appropriate strategies. Previous work led a classification scheme for identifying suitable strategies early in the cycle of broad range products. include reuse, service, remanufacture, recycle (disassembly first) and (shred first). ELDA succeeded prediction agreement with industry best practices 89% This ability predict enables designers redesign products that move towards higher levels reuse. A 'new ELDA' focuses primarily on technical characteristics eco-efficiency as yardstick. Market developments are included through functionality-time diagrams. paper presents results from depth case studies performed cooperation various global companies.
