摘要: It appears that free radicals may be involved in the initiation, promotion and progression phase of carcinogenesis. Whilst can cause DNA alteration, they also promote cell proliferation particularly cells harbouring altered growth response genes. They appear to stimulate biochemical pathways common those utilised by normal cellular factors. Althought inflammatory associated with tumors serve as a source for such promoting active oxygen species, tumor themselves constitutively release superoxide. Not only this released superoxide enhance growth, but it oxidative inactivation serum antiproteases environment cells. This facilitate action proteases responses metastasis. Consideration phenotype suggests various ‘antioxidant’ strategies aimed at therapy.
