摘要: ABSTRACTThere is growing international concern about the increasing levels of greenhouse gases in atmosphere, particularly CO2 and methane. The emissions methane derived from human activities are associated with large flows very low concentrations, such as those emitted landfills wastewater treatment plants, among others. present work was focused on biological degradation at diffuse concentrations (0.2% vv−1) a conventional biofilter using mixture compost, perlite bark chips carrier. An extensive characterization process carried out long-term operation (250 days) fully monitored pilot plant, achieving stable conditions during entire period. Operational parameters waterings, nitrogen addition inlet loads contact time influences were evaluated.
