摘要: Abstract Aim of the study This paper aimed to present a quantitative review information on Mapuche ethnobotany published for Argentina and Chile in period 1955–2007. Materials methods Sixteen ethnobotanical articles were studied quantitatively by utilizing indices, non-parametric multivariate tests. Results A total 505 medicinal species, 304 native (60%) 196 exotic (39%) registered. Ailments treated with both although showed higher values consensus (between studies) than exotic, more frequently used all cases. The most common ailments gastro-intestinal pains (26%). Most cures herbs (56%). Native species obtained mainly gathering forests ecotones (40%), exotics anthropogenic environments (28%). Our results demonstrate existence common, shared body knowledge flora at regional level, integrating ancestral foreign accumulated over time. Finally, reflecting cultural erosion, modern cited significantly fewer plants older articles; trend not found species. Discussion conclusion offered can be as guide future work promising health care, background development bio-cultural conservation strategies.
