Vibration spectrum and normal coordinate analysis of the pyrothiophosphates Na4P2S7, Na2FeP2S7, and Ag4P2S7

摘要: Na4P2S7, Na2FeP2S7, and Ag4P2S7 were prepared by elemental synthesis at high temperatures characterized vibration spectra differential thermal analysis (DTA). A normal coordinate was performed for P2S4−7. Additional frequencies indicate the presence of decathiotriphosphate anion P3S5−10. The formation higher thiophosphates type PnS(n+2)-3n+1 with n ≥ 4 cannot be excluded.
