Two New Quaternary Thiophosphates with Pseudo One‐dimensional Structures: Syntheses and Crystal Structures of Cs3Sm[PS4]2 and Rb3Sm[PS4]2

摘要: The new thiophosphates Rb3Sm[PS4]2 and Cs3Sm[PS4]2 were obtained as pale yellow needles using an in-situ formed thiophosphate flux. crystallizes in the space group P21 with a = 9.7061(19) A, b 6.7517(14) c 11.395(2) β 90.63(3)°, (Z 2); P21/n 15.311(3) 6.8762(14) 15.352(3) 99.49(3)°, 4). crystal structures are characterized by formation of complex anionic chains, which run along [010] direction both structures. One two independent groups connects three Sm3+ cations to form infinite zigzag like arrangement, while other acts terminal ligand one Sm3+ions. Such μ3 or face-grafting coordination mode [PS4]3− anion is not very common. ions bicapped trigonal prismatic chalcogen coordination. average Sm–S distances within prisms close 2.88A, bonds capping atoms distinctly longer. chains chiral yet their symmetry 21/m. In contrast rubidium compound, contains enantiomorphs. arranged distorted hexagonal rod packing.
