摘要: Colorectal cancer (CRC) is the third most common form of cancer. Diverse therapies such as chemotherapy, immunotherapy and radiation have shown beneficial effects, but are limited because their safety toxicity. Probiotic formulations great promise in CRC preventive early stage therapeutics. This review highlights importance a balanced intestinal microbiota summarizes recent developments probiotics for treating CRC. Specifically, this report describes evidence role modulating microbiota, improving physico-chemical conditions gut reducing oxidative stress. It also discusses mechanisms inhibiting tumour progression, producing anticancer compounds host immune response. Even though some these effects were observed several clinical trials, when probiotic used supplement to therapies, application biotherapeutics against still needs further investigation.
