Phenolic Acid Composition and Anti-Parasitic Effects of Four Peucedanum Species on Entamoeba histolytica Trophozoites.

摘要: Background: The aim of this study was to determine phenolic acid composi­tion and anti-parasitic effects Peucedanum caucasicum, P. palimbioides, longibracteola­tum chryseum on Entamoeba histolytica . Methods: Methanol extracts the plant species were prepared by soxhlet extrac­tion. Phenolic compositions determined HPLC. Anti-prolifera­tive effect trophozoites using trypan blue dye exclusion test. For counting cells, approximately a hundred E. examined in each time. data presented as mean values with standard deviations analyzed repeated measures ANOVA followed Tukey test for post-hoc pairwise comparisons. P -value set at 0.05 significance level. Results: All showed time dose dependent amoebicidal ac­tion trophozoites. Among tested, longibracteolatum strongest As expected, also exhibited activity At 4.0 mg/ml extract concentration, all killed 72 nd hour. Gallic (11.144 mg/g), -hydroxybenzoic (17.646 o -couma­ric acids (14.442 mg/g) major longibracteo­latum found could not be other extracts. Therefore, high potential probably attributed presence these phytochemicals. Conclusion: can further evaluated therapeu­tic drugs treatment infections.
