摘要: Amoebic keratitis is difficult to treat without total efficacy in some patients because of cysts, which are less susceptible than trophozoites the usual treatments. The aim this study evaluate vitro amoebicidal activity methanolic extracts Satureja cuneifolia and Melissa officinalis. In presence (ranging from 1.0 32.0 mg/ml), numbers viable Acanthamoe castellanii cysts were decreased during experimental process. Both showed a time- dose-dependent action on cysts. Among tested, S. strongest effect 32 mg/ml extract, no observed within 24 h. At same concentration value, extract was found effective against at rate 46.3% 72 h 16 concentration, also 24th hour experiment. end process, 34.7% killed by extract. M. officinalis moderate effect. mg/ml, 44.3% 30.0% respectively. Results obtained these values statistically different terms their actions both (p<0.05).
