摘要: Acanthamoeba castellanii is a protozoan parasite that may cause sight-threatening keratitis in some individuals. Its eradication difficult because the trophozoites encyst making organisms highly resistant to anti-amoebic drugs. To test new anti-Acanthamoeba agents, usually having low water solubility, organic solvents and surfactant agents should be used. Therefore, lethal effect of different concentrations acetone, methanol, ethanol, DMSO Tween 20, 80, Triton X-100 was tested. The minimal inhibitory (MIC) were determined against cysts. Results present study showed MIC for acetone 25, 12.5, 10 %, respectively 0.25, 0.06, 0.03 %, respectively. There no significant on multiplication cysts as compared control when using 3.12 % 1.6 % methanol 1.25 % DMSO, 0.016 % 20. On other hand, both 80 difference comparison almost among all range used this study, 19 27.2 %, at their least concentration.
