摘要: This study evaluated the effect of repeated microwave disinfections on adaptation maxillar denture base using 2 different flask closure methods. Twenty stone cast-wax sets were prepared for flasking by traditional cramp or RS system Five bases each method submitted to 5 simulated in a oven with 650W 3 minutes. Control not disinfected. Three transverse cuts made through cast-resin set, corresponding canine, first molar, and posterior region. Measurements an optical micrometer at points cut determine adaptation: left right marginal limits flanges, ridge crests, midline. Results performed methods were: (non-disinfected = 0.21 ± 0.05mm disinfected 0.22 0.05mm), 0.16 0.05 0.17 0.04mm). Collected data ANOVA Tukey test (α=.05). Repeated energy did cause deleterious adaptation, when compared.
