摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter presents some of the major findings on effects acidic deposition surface water and ground chemistry, sediment aquatic biota. Acid has had a significant impact poorly buffered, soft-water lakes streams in Europe North America. In addition to decrease pH, metals—leached from soils sediments or deposited into precipitation—have increased concentration column. Some these metals are toxic biota, others accumulated by They can then enter human food chain, either through drinking consuming fish. Acidification affects plants animals is refleeted species diversity beginning at around pH 5.5. Changes biomass, productivity, decomposition less sensitive parameters not noticed until drops below 5.0. acidified lakes, there tends be shift planktonic benthic production with occasional nuisance growths mosses filamentous algae. Fish might scarce absent waters. Many rivers have been changed deposition. If further degradation ecosystems prevented recovered, program reduced emission necessary. Until such legislated, liming selected streams, combined fish stocking breeding programs, provide an interim solution.
