摘要: Three case studies that deal with the recovery of aquatic ecosystems from acidic stress are presented. These include (1) experimental acidification and partial Lake 223 in Experimental Lakes Area (ELA) northwestern Ontario, (2) two severely acidified metal-contaminated lakes near now-closed Coniston Smelter (3) moderately Sudbury region Ontario following regional reductions S02 emissions.
