摘要: A new scintillator, LuAlO/sub 3/:Ce, has been found to have properties that put it in the forefront when stopping power and timing is of importance. This material, an extension other well known cerium-doped scintillators, yttrium-based orthoaluminate garnet, can be readily pulled from melt, displays particularly promising performance.
