摘要: Single crystals of undoped and cerium‐doped yttrium aluminum garnet have been pumped with laser radiation 220‐ 266‐nm wavelength. A broadband defect emission at approximately 300 nm was observed, similar to that obtained cathodoluminescence, although decreased in magnitude. Evidence a transfer energy from these states the Ce+3 inferred photoluminescence decay time measurements. We associated absorption spectra 200–300 excitation spectrum, including peaks 225 270 nm.
