摘要: The influence of nanoclay on the fracture resistance and mechanical properties epoxy-based nanocomposites corresponding continuous carbon fiber–epoxy matrix composites (CFRPs) has been studied. incorporation into epoxy CFRP enhances impact quasi-static resistance, as well flexural strength modulus composites. Microscopic examination based double-notch bending test identifies pertinent toughening mechanisms responsible for enhanced toughness clay nanocomposites, namely microcracking, crack pining, tip bifurcation deflection, microvoids along galleries. Multi-layer delaminations are among key identified clay–CFRP hybrid
